The Orlando Pride’s roster is beginning to take shape.
Orlando added nine players to its squad on Monday via the NWSL Expansion Draft. The Pride used the first and second picks on U.S. Women’s National Team players Meghan Klingenberg and Ashlyn Harris, respectively, but will be sending Klingenberg to the Portland Thorns as part of the trade for star forward Alex Morgan that was agreed upon last week.
The expansion NWSL club – which signed Morgan, Kaylyn Kyle, and Sarah Hagen as its first three players – also picked up Chicago Red Stars defender Taryn Hemmings and forward Jasmyne Spencer of Western New York Flash.
